Last Wednesday evening, December 6, 2017, the ALBA Alumni Association (AAA) had the honor to host Mr. Andreas Athanassopoulos, Manager of the Year 2016, Managing Director of Dixons South-East Europe, During this full-house event at the ALBA Graduate Business School, alumni had the pleasure to listen to personal and professional stories of Mr. Athanassopoulos during his intriguing presentation “50+1 years old, 3 professional lives, 2 countries, a common framework”. The honored guest, actively involved in both Academia and the Business Environment, eloquently unfolded some compelling topics: different trends that affect both present and future, everyday issues and challenges that a CEO has to deal with in order to succeed at an increasingly competitive and rapidly changing environment, as well as procedures and skills for a more effective decision making process. His piece of advice? “Always be at Day 1. No matter how successful one is, one has to immediately set the next goal to achieve, the next top to go up”.
