The 1st Life Long Learning Seminar for the ALBA Alumni organized by the ALBA Alumni Association and powered by Executive Development of ALBA Graduate Business School took place on Saturday the 13th of May, at the Auditorium of ALBA. More than 80 alumni, from all different programs, attended the “Growth Strategy through Value Innovation” presentation of Dr. Kostas Axarloglou, Dean of ALBA.
Compelling topics such as “outrunning or outsmarting competitors”, “Red Ocean Vs. Blue Ocean Strategy”, “Managerial Innovation creates Value Innovation”, along with an intriguing case study on the US Wine Industry, gave rise to a vivid discussion among participants about what alternatives exist in a stagnant and saturated market where customers look all the same.
As the Dean said, though, the best part of the seminar was the heartwarming feeling of community belonging shared by the Alumni and the amazing opportunity to meet each other again, exchange ideas and connect. As per alumni’s comments the seminar was “a reminder towards the innovative way of thinking”, “with creative and collaborative spirit, stimulating out the box thinking” in order to “to keep us going in a very demanding, difficult market”. This seminar is the first of more to come in the future. Stay tuned!
